Posadas, Churrascaria and our first taste of ice cream, 21 August 2009

So we found a lovely little posada on Ilha Grande, it was cheap enough to get a double so we made the most of having a quiet private room rather than a noisy dorm for once. It was a lovely little place with a Japanese Garden, and cute wooden bits. We were sold when the owner told us that he had built the place with his own bare hands. Me aand Laura are such suckers!

With bags dumped we wandered down to the sea front and sat with a beer each as we watched the evening grow dark and the fisher boats come in. After a relaxing evening we found the only churrascaria on the island and indulged to the max with a meat fest! It was awesome, every two seconds we had a man at our side with a sword full of meat and he just kept piling it up for us! It was certainly very tasty but no La Cab.

Even though we were ridiculously full after dinner we still managed to find time for ice cream. We were tremondously disappointed when we coulddn´t find the Fig and Walnut with Cognac flavour. BUt the Ferero Rocher flavour more than made up for it.

Tired from the day we grabbed a movie from the hostel lounge and fell asleep watching My Super Ex Girlfriend on the dvd in our room. Told you it was a nice posada! DVDs and everything!
